Global Tool Sourcing

ATS UK Ltd have been supplying a Global Tool Sourcing service since 2002 and have to date managed over 200 sets of tooling. Having agreements in place with 3 Tooling Suppliers in China, each having their own speciality, allows ATS to offer the best Value & Quality package according to our customers needs for tooling up-to 12000kgs.

Our UK based Design & Project Engineers manage the entire project from initial design feasibility right through to the logistics of sample parts and tooling, they are assisted in this process by our UK speaking Chinese Project Manager who controls the day-day activities on the ground in China and attends all mould trials.

Upon arrival in the UK ATS insist on all tools being fully stripped and re-assembled by our experienced UK Toolmakers and then sampled again in our own machines, any final tool maturation/sizing required is then managed in-house giving the customer confidence that final sample parts have been made using European specification machines, materials and processing conditions.

All ATS UK Ltd Globally sourced tools are covered by our standard Tooling Warranty and are accompanied by our Tooling Manual that includes 2-d & 3-D designs, Certificates of Conformity, Hot Runner instructions etc.

Tooling costs are quoted in Sterling or Euro’s and are fully inclusive of Design, Project Management, Mould sampling in China & UK, Transport (Sea or Air) including Import Duties and Insurances so there is no currency fluctuation risk or hidden extra’s after placement of your Purchase Order.
